CHIBUKU
ROAD TO FAME
Performers
The review focuses on
how performers impact the atmosphere of the Chibuku Road To Fame event held at
the national stadium for talent search. According to Cambridge dictionaries
online (2015) performer is any individual or group who has been given the power
to keep the guest entertained through music in an event. The main tasks of
event managers are to ensure that correct selection of performers looking at
the target audiences is accounted for (Event management guide, n.d).
Work by has recognised the importance of
having confirmations of performers in writing during the planning process
(preparing your event, n.d). This helped as the confirmed performers during the planning process turned up.
At this event the performers were popular known artists like Slizer and Dj’s so
that they can motivate the participants to become and have self-esteem to work
hard. Pride, Hughes and Kapoor (2012) have described this level as esteem
needs. Bowdin et al (2012) acknowledges
that performers need to be availed to rehearsal facilities, correct stage for
their performance which the learner participated in. In all essence the artists were treated well and managed to
keep the audience well entertained during the event.
In addition, Arina and
Aundrei (2012) say that having an event the local community tend to enjoy form
of entertainment and it helps the host city (Francistown) to build an image.
