MATHAGWANE
WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Dynamics
of Décor
Undoubtedly,
décor plays an important part in individual surroundings and customers have
higher expectations (Cousins, Lillicrap, 2010, Jones, 2002). Asif (2009) has
shown that decorating an event is all about creating something that the
individual has only imagined for the venue. Each event is different in décor.
This was clearly showed at an event of celebrating 10th wedding
anniversary at Mathagwane village for 200pax with a theme colour of purple and silver.
Moreover,
Allen (2009) has highlighted that décor is concerned much about the beauty of the
room. In support of this view, (Bowdin et al, 2010) stresses that décor gives
the client a sense of belonging to the event. At the event planning the learner
appreciated the new ways of décor. For example use of a stretch gazebos for
bride/groom instead of the big normal tents.
Additionally,
the use of mirror under plates, tiffany chairs, his/hers couches, stretch gazebos
(Brooks,2014), metallic centrepieces-for a round table as the one used at the
event there should be not much and not obstruct view of guests especially the
top table (Savas,2013) as a modern way in décor has taken popularity(Brooks,2014).The
whole team worked together.
The décor business is always changing its
decor and it is important to keep up with the latest trends in décor in order
to attract lots of customers.
